The esteem of the Dawsons runs hot through the veins of Los Angeles. David, the patriarch, recently passed away leaving his fledgling son, Clint, in charge of the family business; one that was kept secret from Clint and his sister, Megan. The country club David kept is a ruse to cover up an underground cocaine ring spider-webbing throughout the upper echelons of the city. While Clint wants to keep the operation going, Megan wants nothing more than to end her father's business. As the siblings battle for the future of their father's legacy, a drug war on a scale neither can comprehend begins brewing.

While he believes her to surpass him in all respects, even cruelty, she possesses one characteristic he did not foresee: a moral backbone—one that might undo her father completely.

Steven, along with Clint Dawson, wants to unify the Dawsons and the Jacksons by arranging a marriage between Megan and Justin.
